Some experience with Audio/Video equipment, wiring, and computers required. Clean record, professional appearance and quality work skills are needed for this position. Position could also lead to continued and full time employment into the fall for right candidate with the right skills.

2011 New Products
Its March already, and 2 new Product Lines are really going gangbusters. If you haven’t heard the new GOLDENEAR speakers from Sandy Gross, you must give these a listen. WOW!! First GoldenEar Speakers Arrive
Another highly anticipated product has finally shipped. Sandy Gross’s new speaker line GoldenEar is now shipping the SuperSat 3 & 3C along with the ForceField 3 subwoofer . If you are a Magnepan, Martin Logan, Acoustat fan, you need to listen to these! The little SuperSat 3s($249 ea) have a wonderful little ribbon tweeter that gives them a huge sound stage with unbelievable imaging. The ForceField 3 ($499) sub has a 8″ woofer w/1000 watt amp! These speakers will be the hit for 2011. The larger Triton Towers, will ship around the 1st of the year. If you are a serious music fan, you must give these a listen.

Anthem MRX-500 & 700 are now available
Finally!! They have shipped and are EVERYTHING we knew they would be. These will, well point blank, out perform any other manufacturers A/V receiver currently made under $2000. The MRX-500 and MRX-700 will give you true separates sound performance, in a single chassis receiver. AV forum has been saying really great things about these. We should see the lower priced MRX-300 ($999) sometime in late January. Supplies on the 500/700 are tight, so get one on order now!!
Two new ANTHEM 7.1 surround receivers will ship in the next 30 days. The MXR 700 ( 120 watts/x7) $1999, and the MXR-500 (100 watts/ x7) $1499 will finally ship by the end of Oct or early Nov. These have Anthem’s ARC room correction system and come with a REAL calibrated microphone, stand, and software for setup, just like their $8500 D2v Pre-amp/Processor!! (This blows away the cheap $5-$10 mics everyone else gives you for auto setup)

ALLAN PARSONS “ON AIR“
My pick for a music CD goes back to a very popular artist from the ’70s, Allan Parsons. I’m sure many of you remember Allan from the Allan Parsons Project. This was a very popular band that Allan and co-founder Eric Woolfson formed. Together this band released many albums and had several Grammy nominations. Eric died in 2009 of cancer, however Allan continued to record and produce his own music. Allan Parsons started his career as a recording engineer at Abby Road Studios. He was involved with recording The Beatles last two albums and also Pink Floyd! Those of you who followed any of the Allan Parsons Project’s music, can easily hear the influence of Pink Floyd in his music. “ON AIR” was recorded by Allan Parsons in 1996, and reflects the history of Aviation. This is a very well recorded Album, and shows Allan’s tremendous talent as a recording engineer. He is known as one of the top experts in 5.1 recording technology. Another interesting musician on this Album is a vocal by Christopher Cross, who I’m sure many of you will remember. If you enjoyed the Allan Parsons Project, and think “Dark Side Of The Moon” is still a classic album, try this CD.
BARAKA Blu-ray video disc
This is not a movie that you and the family will sit down and enjoy for an evenings entertainment. However, if you really want to see what you newest video or audio component is capable of, you have to add this to your collection. This 8K ULTRADIGITAL DVD, was first shown to be by one of the factory reps from Epson and has jaw dropping video and audio. The original video was shot in 70mm film in 24 countries. BARAKA is a word that translates into “the thread that weaves life together”. The video shows various cultures and nature of our world. One note of caution, this DVD will completely spoil you on how good true Hi-Def audio and video can be produced!
